Another selfcrit, here we go
I didn’t go to a lot of events or take that many pictures in general (read: I’ve been super lazy and haven’t been bothering to write up entries for the things I’ve taken in the past year, not like that they were that eventful anyways) so I’m going to just lump everything together and do another self-crit. More below. Continue reading
June 16 & 26, 2012
It’s been a long time since I’ve last gone to Wonderland, maybe 5 years or so.
I’ve never been a real roller coaster fanatic so I figured I’d take my camera with me and practice a bit while I had the chance
to sit and wait for my friends as they went on rides, so this is mostly going to be a self-critique of some of the pictures I took there.
Leviathan’s Sign. Had some at an angle, but the lighting isn’t that great.
A couple years ago, I came across a DIY magazine known as Make. Their theme that issue was steampunk, and thus featured different steampunk styled works, people and crafts. One of the things featured was a five-hundred thirty-four (I didn’t typo there. It really is 534) page picture book titled The Invention of Hugo Cabret by Brian Selznick.
I suppose I’ll begin with this: To the people expecting to see an action flick – you may find the movie extremely boring.
In which we take artistic photos of art.
October 1 – 2, 2011
There’s a free art event that runs in Toronto from “6:59 pm to sunrise”; according to their official twitter, about 7AM.
I’ve gone twice before, but never with a large group. It’s easy to say that going in bigger groups is more fun, at least, until you lose someone. Or four.
There’s a lot of things I missed pictures of, but I’ve linked all pieces to their respective pages on the Nuit Blanche website, which provides a short explanation and image. Continue reading
It’s… like a Vaio. But even smaller.
Had a total epiphany the other day and wondered, “why aren’t I using Flickr for pictures? So here we go. Please bear with me, I was giddy with excitement and took snapshots instead of actual photos. Continue reading
August 25 – 28, MTCC, South Building.
Better than last year. Somewhat.

Centre Island Picnic – June 24, 2011
Got to test new camera. A lot of photos ended up blurry since I’m not used to manual lens.
Less shoot-like pictures and more crack.
Kariya Park’s (info here) meet usually takes place in the spring, after finals. Went pretty much just to take photos of Yuki; these are my personal favourites (now with thumbnails!): Continue reading
So it’s been 2 years since I started to go to OCAD, and there’s been a shitton of projects. Some of them were awesome, some of them were terrible. Some of them I lost, some I broke, some I never got back.
So here’s a bunch I didn’t trash/lose. Which happen to be a few of my favourites. Continue reading
Got the 3DS in aqua today; was a bit surprised that it’s more turquoise than I thought it would be. The shimmer gloss effect is beautiful though – if I got a black one I’d really never need to bring a mirror with me ever again. The lineup for it was disappointing; probably because I had it preordered, lining up with my mom for the iPad 2 was a lot more interesting.
Onto pictures, I guess! Continue reading
